It was day 3 of our trip if we count Karnal/Chandigarh as our base. We were trying to make up for lost time, and (touchwood) the slowest of the lot, which would be yours truly, was doing really well in terms of speed & time.
I reached Sarchu ahead of every one else, in the late afternoon, and was raring to go further. But we decided to stay the evening and night here. Much relaxation, much plates of maggi and biscuits, much cups of tea, much photographs, and much sleep.

A long trek, friends, fog & mist, greenery, beautiful trees, a fort, nostalgia. This was shot in 2009.

Backwaters, Kerala, 2011.
After riding on wide straight highways from Chandigarh for hours, we finally reached the base of the Himalayas, twisting roads, beautiful mountains around us, and stopped for a break. To chit-chat, stretch ourselves, and take in the immensity of the beauty around us.

It was a dark & stormy night. Yes it was.
Three bikes with three photographers entered Lavasa. By the time they reached they were drenched, and it was dark & foggy.
All their plans of shooting the shiny new Enfield with the colourful city of Lavasa in the backdrop were also drenched, and had to be thrown in the lake.
We had to do the best with what we had. And I think we did decently well.
And you get the wallpaper one day early because tomorrow is an international holiday 🙂

Almost a five year old photograph. One of my very first treks after I moved to Pune. My first opportunity to bond with a great friend, colleague and fellow rider, Nitin.
My first time at the pool of beauty named Paavna.
Quintessential Calcutta. Everything Calcutta.
Finally I did the obviously Calcutta photowalk – in the flower market in Mullickghat.
As almost a tourist in a city I used to call my own. I still love Calcutta.

Only, it’s the Himalayan mountains, and not only a hill.
