Mount Batur

We missed the bicycle tour to the base of the volcano, but we still managed to get a pretty magnificent view of Mount Batur.

Lavasa: May 2013

DSC_3808_up
It was a dark & stormy night. Yes it was.

Three bikes with three photographers entered Lavasa. By the time they reached they were drenched, and it was dark & foggy.

All their plans of shooting the shiny new Enfield with the colourful city of Lavasa in the backdrop were also drenched, and had to be thrown in the lake.

We had to do the best with what we had. And I think we did decently well.

And you get the wallpaper one day early because tomorrow is an international holiday 🙂

Sheepish grin 🙂

A bit too late with the wallpapers this month.

Sorry 🙂

Flight: Seagull

When you are on a trip and have a decent looking camera in your hand, everyone around you wants you to take a picture of the birds flying overhead, without thinking of whether you have the equipment to do a good job of it, or whether you are interested in even clicking that picture.

You either explain to them that not every photographer with a big camera is after birds or has the gear to take their pictures, or you just succumb and click a picture.

I did the latter. The Nikkor 70-300mm, my cheapest lens, pushing its limits here.

Shot while waiting for the boat to Janjira.
